Derbyshire Uncovered
Heritage Trust

We are currently in the process of registering and establishing Derbyshire Uncovered Heritage Trust as the next step in the evolution of our work. Our current projects have been delivered through Derby Uncovered CIC, and this transition reflects our intention to build on that foundation through a dedicated charitable structure.

Moving to a registered charity will allow us to deepen our impact, strengthen governance, and access a broader range of funding opportunities that are not available to a Community Interest Company. It also ensures that everything we deliver is clearly rooted in public benefit, with a long-term focus on preserving and sharing our heritage in meaningful and accessible ways.

The Trust will continue the same core approach that has defined our work to date - bringing history to life through immersive, story-led experiences grounded in real local stories. However, it will also enable us to expand this work further, reaching wider audiences and delivering more ambitious projects that connect people with the past in engaging and thought-provoking ways.

Importantly, this is not a change in direction, but a progression. The establishment of the Trust formalises our long-term commitment to heritage, creating a structure designed to sustain, support, and grow our work for years to come, ensuring that our stories are preserved, shared, and brought vividly to life for future generations.
